Since I was little I always had a problem focusing. I ate a lot of sugars and for some odd reason crave for it. I acted hyperactive, irritated, and OCD. I could never taste anything for some odd reason and felt like there was a cotton ball in my mouth. I also felt fatigued most of the time. I had brain fog I can barely even hear myself think and I always dream and dream non-stop about things and forget. Never ever liked anything except something that had sugar in it. Now I am 16 and those symptoms seem to get worse now I act aggressive, have headaches, OCD got really bad to where I have to think of it non-stop,barely even eat unless it is sugar or some sort of sugar, forget everything, and now instead of feeling fatigued I feel really really hyper, and insomnia. My sex drive sucks really bad now I can’t even get a boner without trying to get it. I also feel like there is some type of weird jittery feeling like a toxic fluid is going through my brain. When I was little I also felt like tired even if I got enough sleep never ever felt refreshed after a "good night sleep".I also had mood swings my whole life. So I did the spit test and it turned out everything that was suppose to happen happened with the strings coming down then very cloudy at the bottom and then specks floating in the water. I told my mom and she just laughed like there was nothing wrong so I got really pissed and just started punching my door and now she said I have to wait a few weeks to see if it goes away. This yeast infection is fucking me up really really bad and I just want to just end my life because of the obsessive thoughts that reoccur about every little thing is so annoying and not being able to hear my thoughts I just want to cry and scream until I my heart just explodes. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME AND GIVE ME ADVICE THAT WOULD WORK PLEASE AND ALSO SOME HOTLINES FOR YEAST INFECTIONS INFO
I don’t think it is bi polar because I never acted bi polar. OCD sounds like a possiablity but Yeast infection can make a person look like they are OCD and Bi polar. I do think though it is a yeast infection because I was reading a lot about it and too many symptoms match it. Like say doing something simple like putting a cord in the plug for some reason after wards I would feel very fatigued.
No I am not fat I am skinny and I do excercise everyday
I already did the spit test and it says I have it.
This is much more consistent with bipolar disorder and OCD than with candida. Fortunately, there is a good deal that can be done for both of these–your life can dramatically improve. You need a good psychiatrist who can figure out the right meds for you and also talk through some things to help you both understand better.

and feeling a little off. I had a thyroidectomy 1 1/2 yrs ago and was taking 100 mcg of Synthroid. My last blood test came back too low (too much thyroid .02) I also feel more tired. Are these common side effects of cutting back on Synthroid? I am now taking 50 mcg. I had thyroid cancer.
Let me re-phrase. My tsh was too low, which means, I have too much thyroid in my system. I was too hyper, NOT hypo. A low tsh means there is more thyroid in your system than say a 5.0.
Fatigue can be associated with both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. You should have your levels checked again if you’re not feeling well.
- I’m a little confused by your question: You mentioned that your blood test came back too low, but then say that your thyroid levels were too high.

I also have a lot of burning in my body and a positive babinski reflex. What could be causing these things? My other symptoms are as follows:
*Burning pain (in muscles) – moderate to severe, lately severe
*Pins and Needles Feeling
*Numbness
*Decreased Muscular Control
*Stiffness
*Swelling – worse in back, feet and legs
*Fatigue **** – Mentally & Physically
*Depression
*Headaches
*Irritability
*Heaviness in back and limbs
*inability to touch of bend neck w/o tingling and electrical sensations rushing through my head
*Brain fog
*Difficulty thinking clearly, reasoning, word recall, concentrating, urinating, standing, and memory
*I also walk with a gait, rely more on my left leg.
*Thickening of the skin, and tightening of the muscles.
Thanks for your help.
There are a host of things that could explain many, though maybe not all of these symptons including TIAs(vascular), infections and imflammatory conditions, exposure to noxiuos agents, collagen-vascular diseases, MS, side effects from medication, and (rarely)tumors. If anyone in your family has had similar symptons that would be a clue. Your age , occupation and general health make a difference, too. A Neurologist would be the best person to see. An MRI scan has the best chance of any imaging test to see if there any anatomic changes.
Good luck.

My mom has been having some issues for the past 3 months and I finally dragged her to the doctors with me this past thursday. Since about Christmas she has been extremely tired, had extreme brain fog and has had no ititiative to do her daily activities.
She recently went to Florida and when she came home she was diagnosed with either a chest infection or ammonia. She is now on an antibiotic for that.
She is getting blood tests done this week but I am extremely nervous that it is something more serious.
Her main syptoms are
brain fog
confusion (hard time forming specific words)
forgetting what she was talking about
no drive to do anything
constipation
hard time breating (cannot get enough oxygen)
ringing in her ears
more headaches
Puffy eyes
A grainy voice
Muscle stiffness
and extreme fatigue
And she is such an outgoing person normally.
Do any of you have any ideas whether or not it could have to do with her thyroid….I am so scared for her….mainly scared of cancers….Anything to help…Thanks
Hi Chissy,
I had some of the same symptoms about a year and half ago. It took the doctors a few months to find the problem & sure enough it was my Thyroid. Tell her to ask the doctor to take the test for T4 & T5 levels this should determine if its her thyroid. The other systems could be just from her infection.
Don’t scare yourself that it might be cancer.
Hope she feels better.

A large gland in the neck that functions in the endocrine system. The thyroid secretes hormones that regulate growth and metabolism

Hi Chrissy. All the symptoms you described, are definitely symptoms of a thyroid problem. I have hypothyroidism, and i suffer from all of them. They can also be symptoms of many other things. I’m glad that your mom will be getting blood work done. Hopefully, it will show what’s going on. Sometimes thyroid disease is hard to diagnose, because the numbers are normal, yet you have all the symptoms. There are 4 tests that need to be done. They are a TSH, T3, T4, and a Antibodies test. It’s important to get all 4 done ( especially the TSH, and Antibody ). Thyroid disease is hard to live with, but it can be treated with medication, with has to be taken for the rest of your life. I hope everything goes well for your mom, and that she feels better soon. Best of luck to you both

See your health care provider as soon as possible. Hypothyroidism is underactivity of the thyroid gland that leads to inadequate production of thyroid hormone and a slowing of vital body functions.
Thirty or so years ago, thyroid hormone was the fashionable treatment for unexplained lethargy. Many people were unnecessarily "pepped up" with thyroid-hormone pills for years, often without a proper diagnosis of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland). Today we know that hypothyroidusm is not a common cause of chronic fatigue alone. There are usually other symptoms of hypothyroidism, including coarse scalp hair, intolerance to cold temperatures, constipation, dry skin, hoarseness, muscle cramps, and weight gain.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

I am always always tired, exhausted even
I dont think i sleep very well anymore, i never feel rested and often wake feeling worse
I also get a lot of random joint pain, chest pain and headaches (lots and lots of headaches - these tend to move around my head and vary in pain levels)
Sore throats
general feeling of run downess
mouth ulcers
forgetfulness and ‘brain fog’
nausea
poor temperature control or loss of thermostatic stability,
IBS
increased Urinary frequency
i took the symptoms from wikipedia that fit with how i am feeling. i am so tired! its so hard to function
thank you for that increadibly sensitive response to a genuine question
All i can add is going to see your G.P…even ‘old faithful’ the medical book can’t assess what’s wrong..other than stress…

Ok, I am positive person so i know there is an answer and cause as well as a solution I just kinda want to know if there are people out there going threw the same thing, I was diagnosed with major depression back in december and a panic disorder. I have been on lexapro, lamitcal, now on cymbalta i have also taken xanax and ativan. My whole life now seems like a blur like it never really happened. I find myself sitting not thinking but trying to see like I am in this brain fog. I have no emotions or feelings. Whenever i work or talk to someone it always seems fake. So really I can hardly see with my head. I had a situation where a coworker was playing around and was coming towards me and played around like he was going to hit me. I saw it but I didn’t react like my brain didn’t see or something. I have trouble reading and comprehending what i read i have read it over and over. some physical things are muscle twitches , low blood sugar, headaches, cold pretty much all the time or i get rush of heat waves threw my body. Sleep is terrible i wake up several times a night. Last night twitching muscles kept me from falling asleep for a while. I know that i have depression I am just curious what the other stuff may be anyone else have these problems? Thank you
oh i should say that , I stopped taking lexapro for four days and nothing happend the brain fog diddnt go anywhere, also I have had problems with my blood sugar before all this started so all this was before i got depressed thanks:)
You need to stop taking medication. the withdrawals are insane, some are harder to go off of than herion. Some even have to detox in hospitals. Medication really does not help. I tried to commit suicide on lexapro and i’ve never been suicidal in my life.. you seem to have the same side-effects as I was. I ended up in the hospital swallowing a bottle of sleeping pills. Lexapro is the devil! Please stop your medication(s) and get a second opinion.
